A List Apart's Designer Survey
April 24, 2007
So, A List Apart is hosting a survey for web developers. I've always been interested in this sort of thing, so all you designers out there ought to go take this survey! Click the image to the right to get there.
Yes Draz, you should take it too.

Ok, I gotta know. What is the deal with Caturday and this on and off conversation about cats? Is this a passion of all of you guys? My curiosity ( which DID kill the cat) is now at an all time high with this.

This will quickly turn into a post about cats. Thanks Jesse. ;p
Well, it's not really a passion so much as it is a stupid idle topic. It's sort of a giant meme from a site that we all frequent. It's really quite widespread, Briana's actually gotten one of the head officers at Freeze hooked on it. Dunno why, it's just an easy way to get a laugh or an "Aaaaaw, cute." moment.

As an aside, my Caturday page has gotten 379,947 hits since it's inception. Mind you, that's hits not visitors. I've so far had 3,653 individual visitors. Quite a nice chunk of eyeballs, eh? I actually let my Caturday on Rails project stall because I couldn't handle many more visitors without impacting my own performance and possibly raising some eyebrows at you-know-where and possibly annoying my current image-host more.
You know, a little hosting space (on the order of a few hundred megabytes) might be able to earn a nice Citescape banner with a link back to my Citescape tag (which I realize I need to update some more posts to include it). :)

Proceed.

Jesse, of course my suggestion is mostly a joke. Perhaps I will have to design a Caturscape ad campaign just for fun. :)

Jordan, I am willing if you are!

Jesse; Oh hells ya. If you want to e-mail my gmail account with your thoughts on what you'd like, I'd be more than happy to implement it within the next week or so.

i already took it :P (concerning the topic of this post) .. i thought the questionaire was a tad too long though. I was tempted to not finish it.

David; It was a tad lengthy, but I think that it was necessary to get a good amount of data. It's layout was good enough that it only took maybe five minutes tops, as opposed to the fifteen it takes for most corporate "Are you satisifed? No? Well, we don't care." surveys.
