I'm Back!

So, the hard disk in my server died last weekend. T'was a dismaying thing to be crouched down playing with Babbles when I hear it start to whine. No matter, for I dug up my old backups and I'm back! I also took this opportunity to make a little site redesign, so I'm hoping that everything is well. As always, the site probably doesn't work in IE. But really, what does?

I'm not really sure what I don't like about the new design. And I guess, it would just be my opinion anyway. I'm just gonna blurt out a few things I noticed right away:
The number of entries for each category in the top bar is VERY hard to read on my screen - i think they are too close in color value or my screen settings are not right (quite possible), it looks better on my G5, but it probably wouldn't pass an accessibility test :P
Not fond of the default link color (the blue standard link color)
White/Black too stark, although I like it in some designs.
more spacing between each entry. It actually looks better in IE *eeek*
Wouldn't have picked that particular color gradient in the boxes on the right.
love the floating head!!

And yes, lunch. Perhaps next week sometime? You may or may not have left me a message on my Wii, for it is blinking sad blue at me. Alas, Emily's brother gave us his old 30" TV that doesn't have RCA input. I've ordered an RF converter thingie that should be here by the end of the week. Wii, I will be back!

David; I'm still fooling with the comments portion (your site gave me some inspiration to shrink it down), but what do you think of the changes so far?

looking better, at least in my opinion. the charcoal background works well and i like the yellow. and the posts are easier to separate and read with the added spacing. this box for leaving comments is really far away from the other fields on my big ass screen :)
