4 More Days to Gaming
July 25, 2006
So there's only 4 more days until Andy and I drive to James' for some LAN fun. I'm looking forward to getting in a full night of gaming, which is something that we haven't done for a long while. Hopefully being far away from babbles will let me play a little bit longer. ;p
We're probably going to be kicking it with some NeverWinter Nights. Any other suggestions from people?

I should expect you not to. :) It's one of the closest computer RPGs to Dungeons and Dragons there is. Basically imagine three nerds sitting around laughing while two bash a chest full of treasure and the other calmly attempts to pick the lock. Nwnvault.ign.com has some nice screenshots of it.

did i already say, that i like the re-design of your site? well, if not, i just did so :)
anyway.. oooh a LAN! I only attempted to play that game once though. Seems like you have to be a patient type of person for that game. I have ADHD so, that doesn't work for me. That's why I play CS:S .. fast action baybeee :P

Haha, I've always wanted to play CS:S on a LAN. I remember having a blast with the original Counter-Strike back when MinneFrag was still going. Maybe you and I should get together for some CS:S sometime? My setup's relatively portable...
I doubted that you would want to come... but since you've posted; you're more than welcome to accompany us. It's sort of a bachelor party or something like that. Except it's me, so there's no strippers or excessive alcohol consumption.
I'm also amazed at how few gamers I know have ever watched purepwnage. Every gamer should take fifteen minutes out of their day to go to purepwnage.com and download an episode. You'd have great fun with any of them involving FPS Doug David.
Speaking of the design, I just redesigned Rails Accounting and will be posting screenshots of it shortly. It's-a-very nice.

haha! what you mean? you won't even strip for us? bah, then i'm not coming for sure. No really, I got stuff going on this weekend, unfortunately - otherwise I may have taken you up on that.
looking forward to the accounting app screenshots!

David: There will be no stripping of the me. Oddly enough James setup a webcam once. When I told Andy about it he thwacked his head and said "Oh please tell me he kept his clothes on.".

aww, bummer.. how are you populating the fields on the side. are you setting cookies, you evil baker!
david 2006/07/27
nevermind.. session ID :)
Jordan T. Cox 2006/07/27
Hehe, the fields are remembering for you now? I clear out my cache and cookies so frequently (yae for web development!) that nothing ever remembers anything.
On a slightly related note - why does it seem like browsers no longer cache anything? I remember a time when hitting the back button was instantaneous, now it takes time to reload everything on the page as though it was a fresh visit.
